Sonya is an award-winning Design Director from Aotearoa, New Zealand – based in London.

Her practice specialises in digital experiences, design direction, and visual storytelling.

During Sonya's time at Colenso BBDO (2021-2024) she led the design team as Digital Design Director.

She is currently contracting as a Design Director at Lucky Generals in London.

In 2020, Sonya founded Āhua Collective, which seeks to decolonise the creative futures of black, indigenous, and people of colour in Aotearoa.
